Desiccated Coconut

Desiccated Coconut is obtained from the Coconut meat taken from the fresh Coconut that has been shredded or flaked, which is then dried to remove the moisture. The country with its tropical climate and rich Coconut plantations belonging to the Coconut triangle comprising of the southern, western and north western regions of the country produce some of the finest Coconut products making Sri Lanka one of the world’s largest producer of Desiccated Coconut. Sri Lanka DC is famous for its unique taste and is much in demand the world over because of its unique features such as color, taste and aroma. It is available in different grades such as Super Fine, Fine, Medium, Coarse, and Fancy

Coco Peat

Coco peat is a natural growing medium used in various horticultural activities. It is also known as coir dust as it is the residue collected in the process of extracting fiber from the Coconut husk.  This organic by-product is popular because of its ability to absorb and retain water effectively. It consists mainly of coir waste which is treated and graded according to granularity and denseness and then used to form bales, briquettes, blocks, disks or grow bags and forms which is used for horticultural and agricultural applications and as industrial absorbents.

Coco Fiber Pith

Coir fiber pith is a byproduct resulting from the extraction of coco fiber. It is a material used as an organic growing medium, soil conditioning, potting mix for horticulture and as a substitute to other potting material such as peat moss. It is popularly known as one of the finest organic growing media because it is renewable, environment friendly, low cost and helps to conserve the water in the soil while enabling efficient utilization of water and nutrition and improving the structure and condition of the soil.

Coconut Copra

Copra is the dried meat or kernel of the Coconut which is sun dried or hot air or smoke dried. Sri Lanka is famous for its unique quality of copra which is available in different grades, skillfully manufactured using modern technology. Coconut oil extracted from copra has made it an important agricultural commodity; where once the oil is extracted the remaining cake high in protein and dietary fiber is mainly used as feed for livestock.
